Foundation for Linn State Technical College announces scholarship winners

The Foundation for Linn State Technical College recently awarded more than $55,000 in educational scholarships for 2010-2011 academic year.

The Foundation administers 30 scholarship funds and received more than 170 applications for scholarships ranging from $300 to $5000.   Recipients were selected on a competitive basis using criteria established by donors at the creation of the scholarship.

Founded in 1983 by friends and supporters of Linn State Technical College as a private nonprofit corporation, the Foundation is dedicated solely to the advancement of Linn State Technical College.  The Foundation serves the college by helping acquire and manage private financial contributions, gifts and grants that are critical to preserving the unique educational experience that Linn State Technical College provides.

With more than 35 programs, Linn State Technical College is Missouri’s only public two-year technical college with a statewide mission.   LSTC has campuses in Linn, Mexico and Jefferson City.  LSTC prepares students for profitable employment and a life of learning.
