Linn State’s Design Drafting awarded certification
The Design Drafting Technology program at Linn State Technical College was recently awarded curriculum certification from the American Design Drafting Association (ADDA) with a Design Drafter Classification.
The academic program has met the requirements set forth by the association and has the authority to promote the Design Drafting Technology program as an ADDA certified program at the Design Drafter level.
“It is programs such as Linn State’s that assure competent design and drafting professionals for the future,” said Floyd McWilliams, ADDA President.

For nearly fifty years, Linn State Technical College has been enrolling students in the Design Drafting Technology program. Since 1964, over 1100 students have graduated from the program. Graduates of the program are qualified to work as industrial and architectural designers, engineering technicians, cost estimators and sales technicians.
ADDA Curriculum Certification acknowledges the standards established and approved by the ADDA, and supported by related organizations such as the American Society of Mechanical Engineers, the International Code Council, the American Society of Testing Materials, Association of Career and Technical Educators, and many others.
With more than 35 academic programs, Linn State Technical College is Missouri’s only public two-year technical college with a statewide mission to prepare students for profitable employment and a life of learning.
