Nuclear Technology Department Chair/Instructor
Linn State Technical College is seeking a Department Chair/Instructor position in our nationally recognized Nuclear Technology Program located in Mexico, MO. This position requires a high level of leadership and strategic oversight to meet employment needs of the nuclear industry. This successful two-year educational program directly collaborates with Ameren’s Callaway Nuclear Plant, Exelon Corporation, and the University of Missouri Research Reactor in addition to power plants, contractors, environmental remediation sites, government agencies, and medical facilities across Missouri, Illinois, and throughout the Midwestern region. This position is responsible for successful oversight and collaboration with industry partners, the Institute of Nuclear Power Operations, the Nuclear Regulatory Commission, and other relevant nuclear entities to provide graduates with the knowledge, skills, and abilities needed by the nuclear industry.
The position provides management and supervision of the program’s operations, curriculum, and faculty. Instructor duties include teaching, curriculum development, student advising and recruiting.
Qualifications: Relevant leadership and work experience in the nuclear field; a Baccalaureate degree in a related field; demonstrated success with collaborations; and excellent nuclear, computer, interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills. Training and/or teaching experience is preferred.
