This program starts in June and is designed to produce operators trained on earth-moving equipment such as dozers, scrapers, wheel loaders, backhoes, excavators, graders, and skid steers. Training takes place on the 125-acre operation site and
prepares graduates to work in county, state, or interstate highway construction, levee construction, agricultural construction, airport development, and commercial and residential construction. Students not only finish the program with more than 1,350 hours of instruction and a commercial driver’s license, but each student will be listed on the National Center for Construction Education and Research (NCCER) national registry, which is utilized by employers nationwide.
